Ashland's Historic ABA Parade
Head to Ashland by 3:00 p.m. and see a community bustling
with activity. Visit the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine and Steam Train
and Ashland Museum of Anthracite Mining until 4:00 pm. Make sure
to stop at Ashland Area Historic Preservation Society to see the ABA
Display. Don't forget a visit to the famous Mother's Memorial,
and of course our main event the historic "Ashland Boys Association
Mummers Parade" beginning at 7:00 pm.
Beginning at 3:00 pm, you can experience local coal
region delicacies prepared by Ashland Downtown, Frackville Downtown
and Main Street Ringtown which await you at the Upper Schuylkill
Food and Beverage Pavilion near Community Banks at 735 Centre
Street. Relax and enjoy the scene and gear up for the historic re-enactment
of the first ABA procession and the celebration of the Annual "ABA
Mummer's Parade" now in its 105th year. Ashland closes
to traffic at 6:00 pm, so make sure you're there early!!!
